Immucor is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. The Laboratory Technician performs a variety of technical and administrative tasks associated with the Systems Engineering Laboratories. Our ideal candidate will have a CBET, CLES, CLA or BMET certification, excellent organization skills and strong problem solving abilities.

Laboratory Technician – Biomedical Engineer - Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on all Automated Instrumentation in the R&D labs. You will also maintain and order department supplies and raw materials for R&D labs including stocking supplies and performing cycle counts.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Repairing and replacing parts as necessary on all automated instrumentation in R&D labs

  • Preparing system liquid solutions

  • Assuring all record keeping is in accordance with departmental and organizational procedures

  • Assuring all personnel are in compliance with all departmental laboratory procedures, OSHA safety regulations and other safety related procedures

  • Maintaining a clean and organized working lab environment

Laboratory Technician – Biomedical Engineer - Equipment Technician

Qualifications

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician with strong technical, organizational, communication and administrative skills. Strong mathematical, reasoning, and problem solving abilities are also a key skill-set for this position.

Additional qualifications include:

  • Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Electronics Technology or Biomedical Engineering Technology, preferred

  • 1 year related experience

  • CBET or CLES Certification, preferred

  • Laboratory Assistant (Certification) – from Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACL), the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT), preferred
